​Before becoming an electrologist, Katrina worked as a licensed clinical social worker in healthcare and was introduced to electrolysis as a client. She knows firsthand how it feels to struggle with unwanted hair, and also how life changing it is to no longer have the burden of managing it with ineffective temporary strategies like plucking (makes the problem worse!), laser (not all hair types and skin types respond!), and shaving (hello, 5 o'clock shadow!).

After over 10 years in social work, Katrina decided she was ready for a change, but still wanted a meaningful way to make a difference in people's lives. **Queue in her "I want to become an electrologist" moment**, and the birth of Bare Babe Electrolysis!

Katrina received her electrolysis training at the Monterey Bay Institute of Electrolysis, whose intensive training program focuses on effectively achieving permanence while maintaining the health and integrity of the skin. Katrina's social work values remain deeply rooted in her commitment to her electrolysis clients. She is dedicated to inclusion, and making each of her clients feel safe, seen, and supported in their hair removal journey.
