​​Hey, Babe! I'm Katrina, it's so nice to meet you. I'm working on becoming a California Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE), and am currently receiving my electrolysis training at the Monterey Bay Institute of Electrology. I'm not quite up and running to see clients, but expect to be open for business in El Cerrito, California in early July, 2025! 

Before starting my training, I worked as a licensed clinical social worker in healthcare and was introduced to electrolysis as a client. I know firsthand how it feels to struggle with unwanted hair, and also how life changing it is to no longer have the burden of managing it with ineffective temporary strategies like plucking (makes the problem worse!), laser (not all hair types and skin types respond!), and shaving (hello, 5 o'clock shadow!). After over 10 years in mental health I decided I was ready for a change, but still wanted a meaningful way to make a difference in people's lives. *Queue in - my "I want to become an electrologist" moment*, enrollment in electrology training, and the birth of Bare Babe Electrolysis!
